Church point is a secluded community of grand homes located minutes from the Chesapeake Bay. The neighborhood also contains majestic waterfront homes situated on the Lynnhaven River. Before becoming the community of Church Point, the area was part of the Bayville Farms Estate.
This area was owned by the Burroughs Family, who are the seventh title holders to the land since its original grant by King Charles II of England in 1635. The neighborhood offers wide, quiet streets for walking and recreation and is home to a historic bed and breakfast as well as an award-winning restaurant. Church point residents also enjoy easy access to the interstate and shopping conveniences as well as award-winning schools.
The name Church Point has become synonymous with Virginia Beach luxury over the years. The Church Point neighborhood is located between Northampton Blvd., Independence Blvd., and the Lynnhaven Bay, off of Pleasure House Road. The long, narrow tract of land at Church Point was developed in the early 1990’s, with a traditional approach in mind.
With over 350 homes ranging in price from the low 400’s to the million dollar mark and above, Church Point homes and the neighborhood of Church Point impress upon its residents, a lifestyle of comfort, class, and community. Large traditional brick homes sit on well-manicured lots, with younger trees lining the neighborhood streets, which make the Church Point neighborhood seem vastly open, compared to the more colonial style neighborhoods in Virginia Beach.
